The Latvian Law on Education allows foreign citizens to be admitted to vocational training programs for the purpose of retraining or advanced training.The lectures will be conducted only in English, so candidates need to know English at an intermediate level (B1) (materials and language of lectures are English) and already have a professional or higher education.According to the law of the Republic of Latvia on vocational education, upon completion of training, students must undergo qualifying practice at an enterprise and pass a final exam. Only then can the student receive a state document for the acquired profession. The received document allows our graduate to get a job in Latvia.Knowledge of the German language at level B1 provides the opportunity for further employment in Germany. We offer German language training for those who plan to find a job in Germany after graduating from our educational institution. Knowledge of the German language at level B1 must be confirmed by a certificate from the Institute. The Latvian-German Vocational Education Center participates in the German state program “Integration through Qualifications”, which is aimed at attracting qualified specialists from abroad.
Before signing the training contract, we will carry out the procedure for recognizing your educational documents. Therefore, all documents about previous education must be translated into English and certified by a notary.We would like to note that after receiving a residence permit, our student receives an ID card with a mark - without the right to work. Therefore, candidates must understand that during their studies they will need funds not only to pay for training, but also for living expenses.When submitting documents for a visa to come to Latvia and further obtaining a residence permit, the candidate must present to the Latvian Embassy a bank certificate indicating the presence in the account of an amount equivalent to 12 minimum wages in Latvia. From 1 January 2024 the amount is €8400.00. The bank account must belong to the candidate for training. After receiving a residence permit, you will be able to open a bank account in Latvia.

- Learning German is compulsory for everyoneIf you want to go to work in Germany after completing your studies, then you need to know German language at a level not lower than B1.The cost of learning German in our education center will be 140.00 € per month, which must be paid while studying in Latvia. Language learning occurs in parallel to the profession.

1. Before you start processing documents for a visa in Latvia, you need to transfer 200.00 euros to our account. This price includes registration of all necessary documents for arrival in Latvia; payment of the state fee for processing documents at the Migration Department and payment for the procedure for recognition of your educational documents.2. After receiving the conclusion on the recognition of your education document (professional or higher), we will sign a Study Agreement with you and submit documents to the Latvian Migration Department for a visa. After receiving an invitation number for a visa, the applicant pays half (50%) of the amount for the first year of study. If your visa is refused, only your tuition fee will be refunded.The applicant pays the second half of the tuition fee (50%) within 3 (three) days after receiving the visa at the diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Latvia, to the specified account.After arriving in Latvia, the student is required to obtain a residence permit within the time frame in accordance with the requirements of Latvian regulations.
The passport must be:- issued no more than 10 years ago- valid for three months after the end of the planned trip and- have at least two blank pages intended for pasting in a visa.
